Happy Valentine’s Day

 

 

Well my dear ones,

 

 

My apologies for laying down on the job.

This past “week” has been a whole month.

 

But I could not let today slide.

We are in the tough part of a new year,

the time when many resolutions

tend to fall by the wayside.

 

The post-holiday season can be a time

of melancholy for many,

especially those who have lost someone.

 

Perhaps you have someone with whom to spend

Valentine’s Day, and perhaps not;

perhaps you got a card, and perhaps not.

 

Well, either way, please allow me to wish you

a Happy Valentine’s Day! =D

 

And even if you think you have nothing

about which to be happy,

you might reflect on the blessing that,

not only did you wake up today,

but you have sight with which to read this text

while many do not.

 

Also, the One who spoke

and the universe leapt into existence

loves you with a love that cannot,

at least in this earthly lifetime,

even be calculated.

 

That is no small thing.
