priceless
Well my dear ones,
While I have been doing OK at keeping up
on posting something encouraging each day
on my FaceBook page,
I’ve been slipping here in this blog.
So, here’s a bit of something to lift you up
by changing how you view yourself.
Our view of ourselves is often malleable,
shifting with our emotions,
changing with circumstances and how well
we feel we are doing dealing with them.
Let’s stop and think for a second
about how we are viewed by the One
who spoke the universe into existence.
There’s a song, “Priceless,” by a band called
For King & Country that sums it up well;
you can see the lyrics here:
http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/forkingcountry/priceless.html
It’s got a great chorus:
I see you dressed in white
Every wrong made right
I see a rose in bloom
At the sight of you (oh so priceless)
You're irreplaceable, unmistakable, incomparable
Darling, it's beautiful
I see it all in you (oh so priceless)
While Luke and Joel wrote this song
to convey the idea of respect and honor
for women, that they are, in the eyes of God,
priceless,
that applies to all of us.
The Milky Way, the Crab Nebula,
are all just nothing compared to people;
we are the pinnacle of God’s creation,
the most important thing in the universe.
So, the next time you are
feeling a little down on yourself,
remind yourself that you are so priceless
that the Word of God, Who is God,
without Whom nothing was made that is made,
valued you so much that He felt you were
worth dying an awful death on a cross for,
so that you might live a more abundant,
eternal, life.
You are, to God, priceless and beloved.
grace, peace, and love to you,
dave
